1999 SL600
Can anyone explain to me how to get these 3 pieces to go together? Specifically the ring onto the ignition.
I have ASRA and have stared at the instructions, but cannot figure this out.
I purchased a theft recovery 1999 SL600 and I am trying to install a new ignition. I was practicing on an ignition that does not fit the car that the previous owner purchased from a wrecking yard. I already have a new ignition, lock cylinder, ring and remote key fob. I just can't seem to wrap my antique skull around putting this ring on.
I know it requires the key/fob/blade to be inserted, then the metal ring is to go around the ignition cylinder, but I can't make it work.
Any and all suggestions would be most helpful, however keep in mind, I'm too old to do the funky chicken to get this done.
