Hi all

Newbie here, UK based, having just placed a deposit on this lovely 320SL last night. First Mercedes for me and excited for the journey.

Car will be used sparingly but the tyres on it are 10-12 years old and I feel I should freshen them up.

Currently it’s wearing Dunlop tyres, size is 225/55/16.

Checking the usual sites, there are a huge number of brands available. The only brand showing as Mercedes OE are Bridgestones, but I’m not sure if that matters?

Any recommendations appreciated!

 

Michelin. Nothing else. And never, ever Bridgestone.

 

But which ones! Usually I would go to MPS 4 or 5 but they don’t seem to be available in the size. Only options seem to be Primacy 4+ or Cross Climate 2

 

That's right, the only model available as a summer tire in your tire size is Primacy.

 

Michelins are terrific but if you are looking for another choice see if the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus is available in your market. I just put four of those on my SL320. I was looking specifically for an All Season tire and that is about the only one I found.
