R129 Engine Timing Setting

Good Night Sirs,

Im from Portugal and i own a SL600.Unfortunately, in the past the engine was dismantled and I am currently redoing it. It turns out that I'm currently having difficulty finding the engine timing setting, particularly the camshafts. Can anyone help provide information on these adjustments?

Thank you very much

Sooner or later you will discover, that there is no "a SL600", Mercedes chage some times over the years. There is the model with two distributor caps, a cpmplete nightmare, and, later, with 12 single coils, much easyer for my opinion. It makes answers easyer if everyone knows what engine it is, even if there is propably no differents in timing. But the next questions will come

Mercedes use a document named WIS, available from everywhere but Mercedes with all information. And there is this, maybe you will be happy with this: https://manual.startekinfo.com/manual/JSP/model129.jsp

The hardest part seems to be the timing of the engine because until that im going good with the assembly because have a lot of good content videos of assembly on youtube. But for a correct timing its a mess. Also the about the wiring, put everything new yet.

Thanks
