there is a deteriorating wire that comes from the crankshaft position sensor box in engine bay down under the car behind the engine mount brackets i recently gained ownership through abandonment car turns over but won’t start I recently after checking everything under in and around the car seems to be the only thing that is bad and or needs replaced card turns over with good battery I checked fuel pump to make sure it’s working and cleaned out the filter and ensured it’s pushing gas through the line as well and I’m at a stand still wondering how to remove this sensor wire and what the exact name of it maybe and its purpose This is where the wire come from it goes down and ys by the oil pan This is the plug connector This is the location that I need info on how to get to properly
It looks like the engine mount. If that's the case, it's the knock sensor. You have to support the engine and unscrew the bracket from the engine to get to it.
