Looking for E55
Offset help needed

I know it has been discussed many times here, but the answers are about as clear as mud. I have a local sale here for a set of 2 piece AMG wheels that are 18X8 & 18X9.5 off an E55. Offsets are et38 front and et44 rear. I don't mind buying spacers or shorter lugs if they are needed. Can anyone weigh in on this fitment?

Thank you very much in advance.

Yeah. That will work. You will just have to get the right size spacers. That fitment might work in the front without spacers, so might be worth trying before you buy spacers for the front. Will definitely need them for the rear. And undoubtedly will need new lug bolts at least for the rear. You will need to determine the lug bolt size needed after you settle on spacer width. The important thing is to have 17-20 mm of thread protruding from the inside surface of the spacer. Any less than that and you have unsafe attachment to hub. Any more than that and you might have contact with parking brake mechanism, etc. inside the hub

btw. Lug bolts will have to be longer than stock when spacers fitted. Since these are AMG wheels, I assume they’ll be ball seats instead of the conical seats common to aftermarket wheels.
