Hi all, wondering what brands of stainless steel brake lines other owners have gone with and had a problem free experience with? Planning on replacing the soft brake lines all around on my R129 since as far as I can tell they are the original lines to the car. I've seen a few different offerings on the market but am not able to see anyone actually vouch for any of the options. Thanks in advance!

Never heard of stainless break lines, certainly not in my experience of 50 plus years, and not in the UK,
My thoughts are that as stainless in prone to work hardenning and consequently cracking, it would be unsafe for brake lines.
I always use cupronickel, branded as Cunifer in the UK, which will not corrode or crack.

This isn't helpful, but I installed Paragon Performance SS brake lines on my 99 8 years ago and they've been great. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be available any longer. Maybe give them a call?

I think he means braided stainless steel flexible brake hoses. Common upgrade, but I have never sourced any for a 129.
Honestly Goodridge is hard to beat for the price, been running their lines on my W206 for about a year now with zero issues. Russell is solid too but you're paying a bit more for basically the same pedal feel improvement — both are a huge step up from the OEM rubber lines tbh.
I found them through StopTech, but they just went out of business. Custom lines can be found, about $70 front or rear lines.
