I was just wondering if I am the only one with a roof leaking water?

The "funny" thing is it was the same when I had my SLK (R170)... It was taking in water the exact same places as my SL is.

The problem area is right where the roof connects to front window ... In each corner. I have attached an image showing the problem areas.

Please tell me I am not the only one with this problem since this is now the second time for me....

Any sollution would be greatly appreciated!

The body shop replaced the rubber gasket around the window frame on my SLK 320. It never leaked until the accident. Should be able to fix under warranty.

My 03 SL 500 leaked in the same area you show in the picture. They replaced the gasket between the top and windshield and it has been fine since. It creaks now and then now, but at least I'm dry! It used to drip on my left leg.

That's real bad, does the dealer fix it finally???

But it took the dealer three times to fix the leaks in the trunk!!

I know this thread is REALLY OLD, but I wonder if anybody have the part number for the gasket who has to be replaced?

Do a search in this SL forum for "parts list." There was a thread posted last July with a link to the full .pdf parts schematic for the SL. Maybe it will display your gasket.

But I must admit that I'm unsure what part it is looking at the list.
