SL/R230: How old are the SL drivers here?
Am physically 75 now, but still trying to "grow up"... Owned a W198 with the sports package (cam, shocks, springs, 3:31 final drive and Rudge K/Os) when much younger.. Have owned several SLs and a R107- 026 series rally coupe.. Now merely maintain our R230 and W209 550 and enjoy them. and swapping info with other MB drivers
Would LOVE to move an old Nardi wheel on my R230 with the four steering wheel buttons on the lower dash... Anyone with leads appreciated..

43, did think the same about the mercedes brand, but I think the only mercedes that young people can buy with pride, started when the r230 came out in 2002.
Exept maybe some slk 55's.
I wouldn't be seen in an s class. (have to wait a little longer

I've had new SL's in 79, 86, 90, 91 & 2004, which I still have. I'd like a new one, but until they "fix" that horrid front end, I'm keeping "Baby," with only 21,000 miles, all original & perfect right down to the original tires.

Hanging on to my 2007 SL600. I have 18,000 miles on it, only MB touches it for all scheduled maintenance. Also had a new 1998 and 2004 SL. Love the 600!

65.
My 2006 SL500 is my 5th SL over the last 20 years. I've had Aston Martin and Bentley Continental but always seem to come back to the SL, even though it has a plain jane and old-fashioned interior compared to some of the cars I've had. Everything just seems to fit right, the looks are sleek, and it's just a nice car to drive.
I had a 2003 SL600 and wish I had never sold it, as the SL500 has no power by comparison. Looking forward to an SL65 if I can find my specs (that's specifications, not spectacles!)
