I changed mine to improve the sound. The 600's are very quiet. I had an 03 CL 55 that sounded great. The sound is better now, but still not like the 55's. Eisenmann claims about a 6% hp increase. The SLR has an Eisenmann exhaust.

Ok. That makes sense.
I still think it's a shame to modify the exhaust on a SL600 though. Isn't it supposed to be quiet and classy? Iisn't that one of the main reasons why people the SL600 instead of the SL55?
Hmm.. I know it it's all a matter of taste but I think it's weird having to make changes an expensive and beautiful car.
I personally went for the SL55 since it is rough and bad to begin with.

I have an eisenmann exhaust that I put on and then decided to take it off. It is essentially brand new. I will take any reasonable offer for it. It is the Sport 77mm version. Email at prsmith777@hotmail.com
