2002 BMW 745Li Black/beige, 2006 SL600 Capri Blue/Black still on order
These certificates are designed more for the classic crowd. It is interesting to find out what your car originally looked like. For example, my 1970 280SL was originally papyrus weiss (a kind of parchment color), with blue leather seats and dk blue hubs and hard top, was a US delivery model with options of power steering and automatic transmission. But all this is available on the data card, so it will be interesting to see if there is more information on the certificate. I agree with you that NOW, when you take delivery, the birth certificate should be included. Perhaps it will be? Has anyone asked on new delivery? I certainly will. It SHOULD come with a 140K car.
I had two nice mileage medallions on my old 1967 230S. Glad they're bringing them back, but where would you attach them now? No more radiator grill to stick em to!
Just found out from Lovin that my car is complete and at the port awaiting its ship!

With Mercedes declining quality, it will be a rare car built today which makes it to 250k.
I heard about a Ferrari F355 which made it to 94000 miles without major maintenance. Ferrari were so surprised that they bought the car back to take a look...
