Just wanted to say thanks to all of those who counseled me on my desire to acquire a new SL600.

After waiting for a black/tan and working with three dealers (and a couple of very understanding people on this board), I found (quite by accident) an 05 SL600 Graphite Gray SL600 with black Nappa, panorama roof, etc. Since I had never seen this color before, I jumped on it.

The car came home with us today...it is spectacular and is everything you've said it would be. Thanks again to those who've counseled us...

I can't wait till break in is over and I can get on it. Stay tuned for Wald body kit, Renntech tuning, HRE wheels and a MagnaFlow exhaust.

Craig,

Congrats. Please post pics of the new ride when you get a chance. I haven't seen that Designo package so I'd love to see the photos.

Thats the color I wanted at first. But never could find that color in 1K mile radius from my home, so I got pewter.

You would have been looking for a long time. Graphite is not a US color.

Is Graphite gray the same color as 041 designo Graphite metallic paint? 041 designo Graphite metallic looks Graphite gray to me.

Sorry...

I stand corrected. Sorry, I was thinking about the interior color Graphite which is a slightly darker shade overseas than our Charcoal. You are speaking about the exterior color Graphite and are 100% correct.

Sorry, I got confused. Seems to be happening more and more. This age thing.
