Juergen Schrempp is fired!
Mercedes Benz finally did something right. They have fired their CEO Juergen Schrempp.
This was the man clearly responsible for the fall in the Mercedes Benz brand.
Wall Street is rejoicing and so am I.

DaimlerChrysler CEO to leave, stock leaps
All Reuters NewsFRANKFURT (Reuters) - DaimlerChrysler stunned the automotive world on Thursday by announcing Chief Executive Juergen Schrempp will leave at year's end, eclipsing a solid quarterly earnings report and sending its shares soaring.
Schrempp, whom disgruntled investors accused at their annual meeting of poor performance and shoddy leadership, will hand over the reins of the world's fifth-biggest automaker to fellow German Dieter Zetsche, now head of resurgent U.S. arm Chrysler.

Schrempp was the one back in the mid 90's that insisted on cheaper parts from all of MB's suppliers, the suppliers warned him that MB quality would suffer; Schrempp ignored them all. Albeit much too late, Schrempp got what he deserved.
