I need helP!!!

Hello all,

I am thinking about purchasing an SL, I would like to get a brand new one, but I am hesitant due to reliability problems I've been reading about. I'm thinking of getting an older one (2003) with quite a few miles (20k), I figure that if the car has high miles and the work schedule has been kept, that I will get a realiable car. What do you guys think? Also, this will be my one and only car, so how do these cars fair in snow?

Stay Away

Stay away from Capital Euro Cars. Incompetence from the top down. I have also heard that there were more problems with 03, than with later models.

2K+ miles on my SL600 and no reliability or leakage issues at all. Only thing is that CD alsays pops out when I power down...probably a setting like autoeject that I have on and don't know how to turn off yet. My side windows are also symmetric in the down position. No steering or engine issues. No NAV issues. All in all a problemless first month. I will tell you that my BMW 06 750Li has been likewise problemless with the exception of a rock to the windshield..f$#k!!! I'd stay away for the 03's because of CD navigation for sure.

Hey SteveK,

I m happy to see there is someone else from Tally on here . Yeah, I went to CRapitol Eurocars about 3 years ago to take a gander at the clk, they were complete morons, I left! I'm thinking about buying my car from the Pompano Beach Benz dealer, is there a better dealer out there? Thanks, Tim

People don't seem to car much for Pompano...do a quick search on this forum, it's not pretty. People have had good things to day about Tampa.

I would try Brumos Motor Cars in Jacksonville, FL. Large dealership, large service department, a lot of the same people have been there for a very long time. The more cars you service the more apt you are to be familiar with problems and solutions that a lot of people need.
