Track - Sl600
1st ever time at a track this evening, probably the greenest amateur ever there, but it was a great experience. I have been curious since I bought my SL600 about it's real performance. Each time I ran the car I started from brake to accelerator with no powerbraking or anything. I wanted to just see it's flat out acceleration.
I know I have a lot of room for improvement, nonetheless it was fun!

As much as it hurts to say it, those time suck ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The 1/4 isn't that bad, but your 60ft's need to be much lower. Try to get them around 1.7 for the best.
But for your first time, that is really really good!
How did you launch the car? Also, how did you do tire pressure?

Tire pressure normally running at 27/30 tonight I was 30/33.
If I drove the same way, what would I expect to gain from the renntech upgrade.
One more thing puzzled me tonight, several different kinds of cars there, noticed one car do about 10 something with a 1/4 mile speed of 102, considereing I was around 115 and my times were 12.5, it puzzled me that 102 speed could produce a 10 something time.

He's accelerating harder.
I guess hammering it works, but what kind of wheelspin did you have?
With the RENNtech upgrade, you should expect mainly better shifting and a lot more power.
The hardest part though is getting the power to the wheels. Once launched, I expect you to be in the 11's.

For my first time at a track, I think I did pretty good. I was a little nervous and didn't want to kiss the wall.

Take that car to the Nürburgring,
like all car makers in the world do with their new cars. i think a SL 600 would run it in About 8:40. I've only driven it in GT4 so the laptime might not be correct
