SL/R230: Door Open When Opening Top!

Door Open When Opening Top!
This one is very strange to me, earlier today with my car in the garage I used the key to open the top from outside the car. After the trunk lid opened I hear a pop sound come from the passenger side of the car, the top opened and the windows came up. I then pressed the button on the drivers side door to lock the doors, in the dash a red message indicated the passenger door was open. I looked at it and it was open just about an inch, like if you closed your door, but not all the way. The sound I think was somehow the door getting partially released.
Anyone hear about this ever happening?
When I left the SRS light in the instrument cluster stayed on until I reached the store and came out and restarted the car.

Just guessing, but was it possible that the passenger door was not fully closed when you'd left the car? Then the pop sound would be the door springing open a little when the window disengaged from the frame as the rof was opening.

I can live with it once, just hoping it is not a regular occurance, because sometimes these nitwit mechanics will mess something else up trying to figure something like this out.
