SL500 Sport exhaust sound.
For those of you who have heard the exhaust on the SL500 and then the SL500 sport, does the SL500 sport have a much throatier exhaust? I heard one the other day and it sounded very nice...almost didn't think the exhaust was stock, but then again, maybe that is how they sound?

i think it depends how the car has been driven in the last 5 minutes ie the throttle response thinging, I phoned my mate up one day to ask if he had a new exhaust on his 500 it sounded fantastic (It was still stock but he had been thrashing it about before)

If it's driven hard especially using the hi-performance shift mode (holding the shifter depressed to the left) it has a pretty nice roar. With the top down it can be heard even better.

The only difference between an SL500 and an SL500 with the Sport Package is appearence.
If you want a 'better' sounding exhaust, the cheapest way would be just cutting off your resonators.
After that, getting an exhaust setup from one of our sponsors.
