I am planning to tint my windows wanted to see what you guys think.

I like the look now without the tint, but planning on tinting it.

If so, should I tint it the regular black tint or the silver tint to match my silver car.

I was planning on doing about a 30% dark tint.

What u guys think?

I would go with black tint. And I love the shot of the SL in the garage in your sig, very mean looking.

Agreed...silver tint is way too much silver - I've seen it on a silver SL and it does not look very appealing, at least not to me. The black tint gives it much better contrast.

Mine are "medium" all the way around.

I did black tint, 35% rear, 30% sides on my Capri Blue...It looks great, but the 35% is just a tad too dark at night...stick with 30% is my advice.

These are just a few.... But you get the idea. I also have some more interior shots of the SL55 with/5%. It gives you an idea of what it will look like from the inside. I have a 30% and 60% double layer of tint on the ESV and anything less than 10% at night you almost need to roll the windows down to get a proper view w/o streetlights around you.

Personally, If you have the Ash or Stone interior I wouldn’t go any lighter than 35%. I put 30% all around on my SL *Stone* when I first picked it up and to me the tint ruined the interior color it’s just one of those things. But, if I had Black or Berry it would be less intrusive and I would of stuck with it.

Thanks NOTKTS. Man that was great. Nice photos I like the 1st one espcially.

I agree with you anything less than 10% would be to too much.

No problem.... Good luck with your choice
And one last tip: NEVER go to one of those gas-station tinters with the make shift booth that cost $25-50. A good shop with a good quality tint will run around $150-$225.
