SL500 and A-CLASS
Teleaid

I have teleaid on my 2002 SLK320 and 2004 SL500. The service was on Cingular on the TDMA system. Now my service is on Verizon. How can that happen when Verizon uses CDMA?

As I understand it, TeleAid in the US uses the legacy analog cellular network, not the current or previous (TDMA) digital network. As such, it is a completely separate system (antenna and cellualr phone) from any phone system you have in the car.

I believe support for this legacy system is due to end sometime in the next couple of years.
