The SL65 has another half of liter displacement...so I BELIEVE the engine weighs more and I BELIEVE the gross weight is marginally higher.
Assuming the Renntech upgrade boost crank hp to 625hp, I would venture to guess that the SL600 would be a 1-3 tenths quicker 0-60, about 2-5 tenths quicker in the quarter mile, assuming 60 foot times were equal. Wheelspin could be a big issue for either car.
Anyone have any first hand experience?

The best time I have seen posted for a Renntech SL600 was 11.56 but it was on Drag Radials.
I think my 11.63 is the best stock time I have seen for a SL65, it was done on stock rubber.
It sounds like it would be close and I am up for puting it to the test in December if we could get a Renntech SL600 to Augusta Georgia for a few runs.
Enjoy!

The HP and torque numbers are very similar on the two. The deciding factors would end up being things like rubber, fuel, driver, etc...
The RennTech SL600 is the poor man's SL65
