SL/R230: Question regarding pedals on a 2005 SL500

Question regarding pedals on a 2005 SL500
I noticed on some of the cars that there is rubber stamped foot pedals on the accelerator, parking brake, and brake pedal. When I took delivery of my SL, I only noticed a rubber stamped pedal for the parking brake. I have two questions. Should my car have come with rubber stamped pedals on the brake and accelerator pedal as well? Are these rubber stamped surfaces covers of the acutal pedal? or do you have to remove the existing one and replace it with a different part. I do not have the sport package on mine.
