The way to cleanup the surface of Engine
Is there anyone who can suggest me how the part of the engine, identified by red line, can be cleanup ? It's very difficult to clean due to its material and surface.

Definately should be done by hand. I'm not sure exactly what to use, but I'm sure if you go to an auto parts store, you will find a product that is specific to cleaning the engine. I would never spray a pressure washer on that.

Guys:
I have a 25 years-proven method for doing this.
Here's the updated version:
Drive the car for 10 minutes.
Park it.
Open hood.
Get Simple Green, non diluted.
Spray liberally on engine.
Use a big wheel brush to lightly scrub cast aluminum parts, or use no brush at all, it doesn't do much except remove heavily caked on grease anyway.
Lightly hose off engine.
Close hood.
Wash excess Simple Green off car, and wash car if necessary.
Reopen hood.
Liberally apply Armor all to all black plastic, vinyl, rubber services (not fan belts).
Close hood.
Check back in 1 hour.
FYI: Armor All hasn't had silicone in it for years. It will not hurt anything under the hood. I've been doing it this way for 25 years (but with 409 in the 80's)
I do this about every 3 months.

It all sounds good except for the "driving it 10 minutes then lightly hose off", I'd be extra carefull as modern cars can reach full operating temp when driven less than 10 mins; I'd run the engine only (no driving) for no more than 5 mins if I were to spray cold water from a hose. I would also use care not to get any simple green on the paint even for a short period of time as it can remove wax and cause possible finish issues especially if the surface of the vehicle is hot.
