2006 SL500
Hello, I'm new here.
I'm very new here. I have been reading and reading with my mouth and eyes wide open.
My last SL was an SL500 - 1999 - with no problems.
In about 2 weeks my new car will be at LA VPC
SL500, Black, Sport, Panorama Roof, Keyless go, Option pkg seats
@ $1,000 over invoice.
Anyone know how long it usually takes from VPC to the dealer?
Thank goodness I leased it and can give it back in 39 months if most of you guys are correct.
I sure wish there were more positive posts.
I sure hope I enjoy this car.

Welcome! I'm afraid I've no idea about VPC's but I'm sure someone can help.
And don't let the negative threads get to you. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the stuff here but I've now had mine about 18 months and love every minute in the car. It's a beautiful car and great to drive. Just wish I could keep it clean on these crappy Scottish roads just now though! A dirty SL is so embarrassing !

From my past experiences it seems a lot has to do with your dealers relationship with the VPC. The dealer I used was close and a high volume dealer for my area. Each time they went and picked up my car directly. I have even heard them use some term which meant getting it quickly thru the system. I would check with your dealer and see their options. Sales manager should be able to tell you what they can do.
I suspect you will enjoy your new car.
If you take pics, I would really like to see some of the pano roof from inside, I never saw how it looks and I am curious.

You're going to receive a great car soon. I love mine and you will too. Don't let the negative comments get to you - a few people have had bad experiences and never miss an opportunity to let everyone know about it over and over again. Take care and enjoy.
