It is a hardware solution. I had it on my S class and SL. Works well, I never had any problems. Great price.

Ignore the idiots that say lowering ABC/Airmatic cars via hardware causes suspension problems. ABC/Airmatic cars have been failing since the MY2000 S and CL's. And for the record, I never had any problems when I lowered my cars.

Lastly, if you drop it really low, like my SL (20" wheels were tucking), on the lowest setting, the ride is bouncy. I alleviated it by driving the car in the 1st raised setting.

Thanks for the feedback...what did it cost you? What did the installation entail?

I think the retail cost for installation is $500-600.

It entails jacking up the front of the car and switching out a stock component with an adjustable one. This part is near the suspension in the wheel well. Lowering the rear involves moving the sensor.

It takes about an hour since you its a bit difficult to get the height even on all sides.

FYI- sl's do not have airmatic! they are hydraulic controlled suspensions. "ABC"
