Is anybody able to place their system in surround mode option rather than default option when in radio mode? I can do it when playing a CD but not the radio. Likewise, when accessing the balance control, I have no fader option only side to side.

 

I can't believe no one knows how their stereo operates. Come on guys, just take a look.

 

Are you talking about the COMAND unit that houses the controls or the stereo module.

In 2004 they were mostly together. In 2005 when they went to the MHOST system they separated the components.

The COMAND I can help you with, the module I have no idea where it is located but if you find out I can most likely tell you how to get to it.

I've taken off just about every panel in that car.

 

Using the screen and accessing radio and/or CD is what I'm talking about. BTW, What happened to the the Vantage?

I had a Vanquish S and not a Vantage. I returned it to Aston Martin.

 

Xeron, that annoys me as well. I think the manual's explaination was that the surround mode is only for digital music, cd's, mp3s and such. I think it would work with sat. radio as well, but not over the air stuff.

And to continue with the radio questions, how does the auto-volume level work (Bose Audiopilot?)? It seems really inconsistant....

Seriously though, I'm really bummed with the quality of the stereo in this car. You would think that they would put in something halfway decent with the amount of money the car costs. My M3s Harmon Kardon blows the Bose out of the water.

No highs, No lows....Must be Bose.

I think I'm going to Reus audio and let them fix the damn thing.
