Letter from MB... free upgrade
Received a letter from MB (France) saying that they want to do a free upgrade on my SL55 and would I give the letter to my dealer the next time I am there. The letter did not specify what the upgrade is for. I have had ABS and ABC probems and recently had to pay over € 4000 replacing the rear shocks (still get ABC warnings though now and then). I am almost scrared to go in as there seems to be a new problem every time one is fixed! Has anyone else received such a letter? Any idea what upgade they want to do?

There's been a series of updates to the SBC brake system, new software, new pressure regulator; depends on how old you car is. My guess is that it's in that area. Mine had three changes made to the braking system when it was last in the shop.
