SL/R230: questions
Any feedbacks from the sl owners are greatly appriciated. thank you
The view is the new SL is quieter than the car which went before, but not as quiet as a current S Class.
The Bose sound system is said not be be as good as what you'll find in a Lexus SC430 but for most people it's fine. I am sure it will portray Dolly Parton's assets to their best advantage

The SL has had a few teething problems but given the amount of new technology in the car, neither unexpected nor unreasonable. It's worth remembering that a month's production, in use by a wide variety of customers in different locations will test the product more than Mercedes can ever hope to in development, so some new things will show up. Mercedes spend heavily on R&D and employ smart people to address any problems. How much any warranty niggles will affect you will depend most on the quality of the people at your dealer.
If you're coming from Lexus, you might feel short-changed. If you're coming from GM, Ford or most any European manufactuer who dares to step into the US market, you'll be more than happy.
At the end of the day, few will argue the SL is the best convertible in the world by a mile and if you can get one at a price you think is reasonable, I do not think you will be disappointed.
