7 month report card

I'm taking my car in for the complimentary 6500 mile tire rotation/inspection service and I have a few other items for the dealer to look at:

1. Trunk leak as reported in my 6 month report card - I didn't take it in when first discovered.
2. Brakes squeak.
3. Notice appears on speedometer that Service A is due in 24 days and counting when in fact I'm about 6 months away.
4. Right rear tire seems to have a slow leak - could be something I ran over but we'll see.

Overall things have been excellant with my car and I couldn't be happier.

One more thing...

On my way to the dealer today for the work described in the original post I tried to open my glove box to get my proof of insurance for the loaner car. It wouldn't open! So I added that to my list of things to look at.

tiggerfink had this same problem and I think he said after three tries it still didn't work right. Him and I must have had the same guys build our cars - we both have trunk leaks and glove boxes that won't open. It's sort of strange that these same exact items keep happening to different MY cars (I know from this forum that tiggerfink and I are not alone in the trunk leak world - don't know if the glove box problem is widespread) You would think that after so many of the same occurances that a permanent manufacturing fix would have been found and implemented.

I'll let everyone know how things are resolved.

I hope the dealer fixes your problems. It does get irritating to have the same thing repair over 5 times and have your car in the shop for a week for every repair.

3 repairs for the glove back
5 repairs for the water leak and the trunk is still leaking

Here's how things went with the above plus the glove box thing I added:

1. Car was in the shop 2 days mainly to repair this. It seems it took them awhile to fix it because supposedly they tested it and it still leaked so they kept going until it didn't. I'll test it myself soon.
2. Put some "white grease" on the pads. When I left the dealership to drive home they still squeaked. I called my SA and he said give it a day or so to work so we shall see.
3. They reprogrammed something and the premature notice is not appearing anymore.
4. They found a small nail in the tire. Patched it and rebalanced it and mounted it - $39.95.
5. Glove Box: Release cable out of adjustment. Correction: Performed adjustment per DTB. The above was how the fix read on my workorder. Does anyone know what DTB means?

Everything is hopefully fixed (leak and squeak to be determined). Unfortunately when my car was brought to me my drivers side floormat was filthy with dirt and what looked like oiley/greasy footprints and my car was not washed. I complained to the person who brought the car and he made an attempt to clean the mat with some glass cleaner and a towel and it helped somewhat. Called my SA when I got home and he apoligized profusely but I said I expected a lot better treatment from Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills. Hope I get it next time or that will be it for them.
