Another thing
I also wanted to add that I would rather keep my own car since I take care of it than buy a used SL off of someone else. And its also fun fixing up the car you started out with.

I figured an '03-04 sport would run low to mid 60's, but
I am only seeing mid to high 60's. I guess it could be in
part due to me being in FL and its the summer time, where
convertables are in high demand. :/

Lol, I bought one earlier today anyways! I picked up a Silver/Charcoal
'04 SL500 with sport package, wood wheel, parktronic, tire monitor,
heated, vented, massage seats and keyless go. Its only got 15k miles,
with full MB extended warranty to 100k. I got it for 72K plus taxes.
Very very impressed with it so far!

No offense...but if NEW 06s are being discounted around 15k bringing them to 80-85ish...and used / leftover 05s are selling for 70-75ish...then 04s should be certainly in the 60s....

Sherv, thanks on the congrats. As for the car, I meant to say 72k after taxes. I am going to shine her up and get some nice pics tomorrow afternoon. She is covered with bugs on the front end, and I didnt have much opportunity for pics today as I was at the beach.

you have to be out of your mind to pay 15k for distronic or even pay 140k for a 500 when you even said the 55 was the same price

I would have to go with Sherv on this one. The distronic feature is one which I actually use in day to day driving and love. Also when I buy cars I am the type who wants all the functional (to me) options in there. It may be a bit of my ego and what not, but I just like to have all the cool little buttons which do things which most other cars dont have.
