SL/R230: alignment

alignment
I took my car in for an alignment and the service rep gave me the BS that I may need alignment bolt kits for all my wheels. I am thinking why do I need alignment bolt kits and why is Mercedes not providing the correct bolts in the first place.
The alignment cost about $194 and the dealer asked me if my tires were wearing on the inside. I said yes and that is why I am I got an alignment.
I recall a discussion about the inside of the tires wearing faster than the out side of the tires. The dealer told me that the tire is supposed to wear evenly. So if your tires are wearing faster on the inside, it is not normal and do not believe any dealer that tells you otherwise.
By the way my friend that owns many tire stores gave me a lecture when he saw my tires wore so badly on the inside. He told me to get an alignment every year.
