I have a 2006 SL600. I tried to put a dipstick down the dipstick tube with no success. I had made a dipstick which worked on a 2004 S600, but the tube on the SL600 seems to be blocked. Any ideas? Why would Mercedes do this? I've had so many false readings with the electronic oil sensor on the S600 that I don't trust it, hence the dipstick. It seems that option is out on the SL600. Anyone else run into this?
