U.S. vs. EUROPEAN / OTHER R230's : WHICH ARE THE MOST PROBLEM-FREE?

Have noticed that a lot of members here have experienced problems with their R230, however seems that U.S. cars show more problems than European or other countries' cars.

Appreciate the fact that USA is a bigger market, however it would be nice to know the percentage of owners (or ex-owners) who had zero to major issues in accordance with their model year and their location - and maybe we could gather some conclusions..

I noticed the same thing about all MB's in general, US customers usually have more problems than Euro/Japanese/Middle-East owners.

Funny...mine don't work all that well. The cup is difficult to take out of the cup holder unless I pull back slightly on the spring-loaded tension ring, which is rather tricky to do with one hand.
The horn seems to work real good though.

It's a subject I brought up at the weekend when we ordered the R-Class.
Must admit I've a concern about the build quality after hearing some of the horror stories on the forums. Salesman said they recognised they had problems but they'd been addressed. Only time will tell.
Had the SL 2 years now and only problem was the roof got a wee bit squeaky but they fixed that at the service. For that I am thankful.
