Not at all, go in the backyard and plant a dollar......$60k will grow in about 7 months for you.

Ok asad, i understand........ just remember there are other things besides autos in life that u have to take care of. Alot of other things; but keep the passion I was telling my father today that at 42 I luv having this car thing as a hobby. There are not many things that get me going. Btw, Its also really great to see others sharing the rush on this forum.

BiTurboBenz,

I agree with you. If quickness/fast is the only issue then the new Z06 is a no-brainer. For under 100k, there is nothing out there (new/unmodified) that can touch it.

Because somebody wants a luxury GT as opposed to a 2 seater "racecar"

seattlecarfreak,

You're right, this is getting ridiculous. SL550 vs M6 vs Gallardo...what's next F430 Spyder?

M6 Gran Coupe
First off....people don't "save up" for Gallardos. You either can afford it or you can't. With all due respect, if you have to save for another year, it's probably not something in your price range.

M6 is a solid car....I swear I have seen them at 100k on Ebay....maybe that's just because they will be rare for awhile? Of course it's louder...but duh, it's a performance car versus a convertible.

You see more people over 40 with SL's because they cost more than the 6. The 6 is what.....65k new and the SL with NO options 87k? You get pano.....wood trim...keyless go...sport package...you're at what? 100k?

Plus....look at the M3 and 7 series...can you say depreciation? You can pick up the E46 M3 CONVERTIBLE for 30k now. 7 series.....35k. You won't find the SL for less than $50k right now...and even most of those right at the 50k mark aren't sport packages and have alot of miles.

i guarantee if someone took a survey of people under 40, if they would trade their "current" car for an SL if cost wasn't a concern, 90% of people would take it.. can you imagine anyone in their teens and twenties.. thirties saying..

nah.. i don't want an SL.. ? the fact is.. the car payment on these cars is the same as a house payment.. and at this time in most peoples lives.. they don't have $2000 a month to simply throw away.. most people don't earn enough until their late thirties, fourties to be able to afford a nice house, a family, and a $100k car.. not many people in the younger age range that can..

needless to say i think this applies to any vehicle in the $85k+ new price range..
