anybody ever have the red light indicator flash put car in park light when door is open(no key in ignition )also the keyless go is acting up works on and off (new batteries in remote)

With my keyless go, the card has to be within 1 foot of the door to work. I have never had any trouble with the ignition once in the car.

Need to bring this post back... same exact problem on an '03 Sl 500... Just picked up the '03 but on my '04 the shift into park light does not come on with the door open, when the engine is off.

On the '03, the Shift into park light flashes on and off with the engine off.

My 05 SL has a problem with the keyless go. In fact, more than one time the car locked me out entirelly. I couldn't even unlock the doors with the push button key fob. Batteries in key were new. Once, it was a little concerning. I was locked out of my car in the middle of night in a parking garage at zero degrees. Eventually it opened. Inside the car, it would also intermittently say "key not recognized". Fortunately, once inside the key fob would work if inserted in the ignition.

Dealer fixed it under warranty. The had to order a new drivers side handle sensor or something. No more problems since then and that was 10 months ago.

RE: Red shift to park light. I never had an issue even when my keyless go wasn't working all the time. With the door open, I got the red light if the engine was on....if it was off, I got "don't forget key."
