I'm back in 2003 SL55 after several later year AMG's. My problem us that I hate the COMAND. No integated satellite, nav won't show "heading up" in map mode. CD based software is outdated. Soooo, I'm considering putting in a Kenwood double din unit with DVD, Sirius, Grmin-based hard drive nav, bluetooth, and Ipod compatible. I will lose the clock output viewed in the parktronic location and the MB phone integration (though will have BT for my treo. It won't be an exact fit though the installer says it will look fine with MDF cut to size. Questions are 1)opinions on swapping out the unit and 2)how can Iget strips of the black birdseye maple to match my trim if I don't like the look of the MDF after install?
