The head unit software has been updated to reflect the fact that many of these features were never fully implemented.
However, the new format WIMAX is replacing all other mobile internet facilities. One of the first countries to get WIMAX will be Germany in 2008. After that it will roll out in most countries and replace GSM / CDMA phones with WiFi phones.
Wimax has been recently upgraded to cope with Autobahn speed. So we can then assume it will be on public buses and trains too.

The UHI / MHI telephone module has a TCP-IP proxy server and several nodes of various port numbers.

Why did they remove this feature on 07 models ?! i had a wap site set up so i could read emails, urgent notifications from company and even check bank account statements ... is there an addon for 07 unit i could use ?!
