I am only 29, but I get my baby a year and a half ago and I drive the crap out of her. 45k miles in that year and a half. About to do some suspension work to her. I will post a DIY when its done.

04 Cadillac CTS-V, 04 MB SL600, 99 Mustang GT Anniversary Edition
I'm 51 and own my '04 SL600 free and clear. Just started minor mods. Has 20k on the clock. AMG Tail-Lights, bumper, front bumper, Carbon fibre Tail lip, custom wheels and tires, and ECU tune. She's my dream car.

I apologize: I'm 73. This was never supposed to happen. I was supposed to remain a 26-year old Navy lieutenant forever and ever. Amen.

I'm well into my 50's here, but I am blessed with having a full head of dark hair and a youthful appearance so I get pulled over many times a year. Once they see the DOB on my license, they usually let me go. Regarding insurance, ironically, the SL is not that bad, except that discovered several companies that either won't insure it, or they charge a ridiculous premium to discourage it. Most companies, though, charge no more for it than my wife's car (she's had several Jeep GC's and now a Cadillac XT5).

2008 SL600, 1971 Chevrolet Pickup, 2016 Corvette ZO6 Convertable
I was 51 in 2009 when I purchased my SL600 new from a local MB Dealer. I was looking to move up from my 2005 Corvette and remembered my previous employer drove an SL and it was beautiful; I think I was around 31 at that time. So I went into the dealership and drove a SL550, it just didn't have enough get up and go compared to the Corvette. So I inquired about the SL600 on the lot, it was a leftover 2008. Took a spin with the V-12 and fell head over heals with the silky torque and acceleration. Went back and purchased the car the next day. Now almost 10 years later I still own and love the car, "Little Blackie", she only comes out when the sun is shining. I have other cars including a 2016 ZO6 Corvette Convertible; it is raw power and somewhat unrefined so I drive it when I want to listen to AC/DC or ZZ Top. All that being said, getting into the SL in the AM with the top down and a cup of coffee on the way to the office is a very pleasurable way to start the day.
Sorry for being so wordy, I'm 60. LOL.
