Nav volume

Can anyone tell me ho to increase the volume of the direction voice, It seems to be linked to the radio volume, if I turn up the volume the stereo gets louder, along with her voice. If I turn down the stero the level of the direction voice also get lower. And If the top is open the direction voice is almost impossiable to hear. I would like to just increase the level of the voice.

Had the same problem

I had the same problem

All you have to do is go to the menu and there is a setting
for the volume control. It lets you delete the radio
volume and just hear the nav volume so you don't have to listen to both.
After the directions are given the radio, CD or whatever will
come back on to what the volume was set at.

You will only have to do it once since it saves the setting until you change
it.

Just mess with it you won't hurt anything. It's just one heck of a
wonderful autombile.

Theres a much easier way. When the nav voice is speaking simply adjust the volume up or down from the steering wheel. Thats it

Thanks so much, adjusting the nav volume while she was speaking worked just fine.

An additional bit of helpful info - on the 2003 CD Nav, at least, there is a RPT knob which, when pressed, will cause the NAV to repeat the last instruction. An easy way to get the nav lady to speak to adjust her relative volume.
