OK, I mentioned previously that useing my IPOD was neat through the AUX input in the glove box... but the bass/treble reset every time i turn on/off the car.
well... my friend has a 2003 SL500 also.. its a bit nicer than mine option wise.. its has the keyless go and amg pkg... BUT.....
he got an Ipod after seeing me use mine... and his bass/treble dont reset...
Our radio's look the same... but on the AUX screen, the on-screen button you hit to select sound ajustments... mine says "Sound" and his says "Base/Treble".
So, maybe different software?!
Any Ideas?

My 03' SL500 resesets each time you shut down the car for more than a couple of minutes. I posted the same question long ago with the same responses.

My '03 AUX also says "Bass/Treble" and I need to reset it each time. It seems to keep the setting for "Driver" vs the other choices.

My '04 also resets to zero bass & treble (AUX only) every time I shut off the vehicle. From what I understand, it's pretty normal for the COMAND to do this. IMO, it's a small price to pay for having the AUX input for the iPod. The newer models ('05 & up) don't have *any* AUX input at all.

I agree, it's no big deal and I like having the iPod capability. What I can't figure out is why MB took that feature out of the newer models?Originally Posted by joec1101
