I want to smoke my tail lamps but I dont know how to do it?? is it painted?? or tinted???

I think I saw a post on this in the SL55 section. I believe they are "painted" from the inside. I think one section is hard to open to paint.

I think I am going to install a set of '07 tail lights.

Call me practical, but I'd rather have all the brightness I can in the rear when I hit my brakes. One small bump from behind can easily happen because someone not paying full attention did not see your "classy" smoked brake lights. Now, your nice MB has had bodywork and the resale takes a big hit and you live with the aggravation factor. Sorry, some things I would never do. Compromising my personal and vehicle safety is one of them.

I had mine smoked from the outside. Follow my post under SL pictures. I love them! not too dark, not too light, just PERFECT!

yeah I don't want mine real black just a light black tint to it
