Window Problem

Anyone have a problem with their windows? Sometimes when I put them up, they roll back down automatically. Has 200 miles and its already giving me a problem.

Both of my R230 SLs have done that. Just hold the switch up for an extra second or two.

They have to be reset. There is a procedure to do this. Call MB to confirm but I think you put them down and then up and hold button for 5 seconds.

Press and hold the window down button till the window goes down.
Continue holding it down for two seconds.

Then press and hold the window up button till the window goes all
the way up. Continue holding it up for two seconds.

Do this to both the driver and passanger windows, and it will re
calibrate the window regulators.

Supposedly you might need to do the reset anytime there is a complete system power failure (when your battery runs down or is replaced, for example).

It's really not a big deal if you have to do that procedure again, is it?

Ive done this soft reset but it came back like 3-4 times. Maybe the dealer has some kind of a hard reset.

I have a 2000 E320 with this same problem. All windows go down and sun roof opens. Is it common also on that car?
