SL #1 in class JD Power IQS Survey
Mercedes-Benz jumped from 25th (2006) to 5th (2007) overall in the recently released JDP IQS survey. Of note, the all-new S, and facelifted E and SL-Class models garnered Best in Class awards. The S-Class had the fewest problems in the industry at 72 problems per 100 cars.

Not sure what period of time this is for but if it is a short period it doesn't sound that great to me for the class as a whole.

Its a good start, and its for INITIAL QUALITY .. first 90 days ONLY. I'd be interested to know over the course of the first couple of years.

I agree.

Porsche has been #1 in initial quality for 2 years straight but I never hear anything new about long term data from JD Power's...
