V8 Kompressor Engine
Is it confirmed whether the supercharged engine will show up in the next generation of Mercedes models?
E55 AMG V8 Kompressor
CLK55 AMG V8 Kompressor
S55 AMG V8 Kompressor
CL55 AMG V8 Kompressor
They kinda have a ring to them, don't they?

I have heard that:
New E class will get a V8 5.5liter AMG Kompressor around 450HP,
new SL and new E share the same platform
New CLK will NOT get V8 but will get V6 Kompresser with around 360HP....new CLK and new C share the same platform.
CL and S already have 55 AMG models...

How and when does AMG decide to roll out an AMG version of a car? It seems like the SLK 32 came really late in the production run (the non AMG version was out for a few years before the AMG version cam out) while the C & SL have, or will have, respectively, AMG versions very early in the production run. Did they just get the specs for the SLK late, or did they need extra time to tweak it? Thanks
