Oil Change

I'm going to change oil and filter between service schedules.

The manual says 7.9 quarts. Is 7.9 a really big deal or can
I just put in 8 quarts.

Thanks for your help.

oil change - help

Have you changed the oil yet? If you have did you use a fluid extractor like a Mityvac 7201 Fluid Evacuator. And my question is if you did, where is the dipstick tube for extraction?

Oil change

First I raised the car and drove it on a hoist, took the covers off
from the bottom and drained the oil.

The covers were kind of a ***** because of so many bolts.

The filter wasn't to bad, just had to make sure it was seated
right and the o rings were changed.

But other than that it was pretty much your basic oil change and
it took about a half hour to 45 minutes with two people.

I figure I'll change the oil between the service schedules. About every
6000 miles.
