Here u go:

A new year, and a new SL. This time, the SL returns to its roots as a car destined for American consumption. The previous R129 SL, was well-liked, and symbolic of a successful person. However, its square body, and straight-forward interior were functional, and not passionate. Americans like passionate, stylish, swoopy. Enter the R230. It is lower, wider, a more pronounced exhaust note, and feature-laden. Not as well-liked in Europe and in other markets as the R129 is, the R230 sells well in the US. This first batch of cars is called the Launch Edition.
