The unit has to be removed, sent to one of the companies that do it and re-installed. There are various web sites for companies that offer this service. A local tuner shop has offered me this service. It is crazy expensive so I didn't persue it. Google it. There are a few companies out there that do this.

USA cars with MOST headunits require a head unit swap to Euro spec if you want to get indash dvd. Sending your unit out to get modified will enable you to get a video input, not in dash dvd player. Reprogramming the comand to play dvd is valid for Euro Spec comand units.
