has anyone used the porterfield brake pads on their sl? and what kind of results did you experience?

I do.

I can confirm less break dust, no break squeal and better stopping power. I put in the R4-S pads.

Its a trade off on brakes. If you get less dust and more stopping power they will wear your rotors faster. I would go with OEM pads. Pads are cheaper then rotors.

I have been using Porterfield's R4S compound for years in my cars, icluding the SL55. I even have them in my 348 Challenge Car, and they really don't chew up rotors.......but they really reduce the brake dust!
