Do these cars rattle?
Contemplating a change in vehicle and the SL500 is on my short list. Thinking about an 04 or 05, and leaning towards the 05. I've recently heard from a previous SL owner that said the car rattled like crazy. The roof, the dash, the windows, etc...
He also complained of wind noise when the windows were closed. Just wondering if this is common on these cars or maybe he just got a bad one.
Rattles and creaks drive me bonkers.

My roof rattles all the time even after having it "fixed" twice by the dealer. I also get creaks when I go up steep drive ways...but I dont mind that at all compared to the rattles. A $100k+ car that has rattled like a beater pinto ever since I bought it new...LOL. 
No wind noise on mine though.
