Sl tail light conversion
I have been thinking, if you just cut a strip of tint film (normally for window glass) and stick it on the tail light, does that give you the AMG type tail light?
I saw the thread about putting plastic tape on the lights which seemed a bit primitive. But how about tint film?

I'm the guy who bought CY's AMG tail lights. Thanks CY 
I put them on my SL600 today. Spent around 2.5 hours. Man.. It was harder than I thought. However, it came out really really nice. broke a plastic trim on the trunk, but it's only cosmetical thing.
Just like CY mentioned, don't tint your tail light. Buy the real thing. You'll love it. My SL looks newer and wider.
