Thx very much guys...agree with you about the 55 as far as performance is concerned, but I have a Vette(which is my garage queen baby) which is no slouch(going to 360 Forged for a beaut of a set-up) and purposely didn't want 500+ horses...in FL, it's just not worth it and considering I have already been to driving school 3 times
cos I like
it fairly hard!!
Thx goodness for the V1.
Will certainly try and post pics later(never done so before as I'm a computer klutz).................but so looking forward to picking her up this weekend...
Learnt a lot here in such a short space of time..hope to contribute myself if I can....................just also hope that I don't have as many teething problems as I had with the CLS when it was new, as you know, some warning light usually appears within 40 miles of the dealer......
p.s. just managed to get a personalized plate for the Vette........S0-SLICK
now working on the SL........

Yes, I thought so to, but it's taken.............SO-SLICK is pretty good though![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Originally thought of I AM SICK, or SO-SICK... wondered if all those beautiful busty chicks would take pity on me, on the other hand, they could think I had some frightful disease![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Many years ago in the UK I had 14GOT(i forgot) and PF1. The difference between the States and the UK is a huge amount of money......it's big business over there, or it used to be in the 80's. I originally brought PF1 for anout $5,000 and sold it when I left for $14,000.....whoever had F1(as in Formula One for example) that could have sold for in excess of $200,000 in those days..so that and A1 for example(which I believe is still on a vintage tractor) would sell for a fortune today.
To give you an idea, I don't know if he is still alive but a famous English Comedian and singer called Max Bygraves owned a Roller and on it has his initials MB1. Ironic that we are talking about personalized plates here and on this board to boot, as Mercedes Benz always wanted to buy his registration number and he refused, year after year..........at that time when the dollar was about 1.40 or so to the pound sterling, the offer would have been about $1.4 million and now it would be around the $2mill mark................so me, only paying the odd $50.00 for my plate seems ridiculous.............
anyway, picking the SL up tomorrow(couldn't sleep last night)
