Driver's seat won't recline much

well a new day, a new post about something not working properly...

i went to put on the wind screen, hit the auto up feature on the shoulder of the driver's seat so get the seat out of the way and it doesn't budge... then when i got in the car to drive i noticed that the back will not recline much.

it will tilt forward all the way, but stops in a fairly upright position when i try to get it to go back.

the passenger seat works just fine. (of course)

any ideas on this one? do i need to reset the system by detaching the battery, etc? i'm not sure how long i can drive sitting at attention.

thanks!

mike

I would try detaching the battery first. However if that doesn't do the trick, you may have a blown the motor in the seat.

ya, i'll try that today... it does recline to a certain point, so i'm assuming the motors are good, just stopping at the wrong spot. but who knows.
